Our children and youth at All Saints can join age-appropriate dance groups which meet every Thursday. We will be learning traditional Greek dances in a fun and welcoming environment.

Since its establishment in 2013, the All Saints Dance Group has been an avenue for creating lasting friendships and memories, whilst forging our place in the grander Greek community. We have three groups, ranging from 5 to 20+ years old. We have learned sets featuring dances from Crete, Ikaria, Macedonia, and more. At the end of each dance season, we display what we have learned at a range of performances, including performing at Carassauga, the Oshawa cultural festival, and our own end of year recital. We also annually attend Klironomia and Laografia, which are dance conferences that bring all dance groups around Canada and even the United States together to learn from seasoned dance teachers straight from Greece. These experiences have taught us the value of what we practice each week, as well as exposing us to the rest of the community. Dance is much more than what we practice or even what we perform; it is about upholding our culture and making it our own. As second and third generation Greeks, it takes a conscious effort to maintain our Greek-Canadian identities. Dance is the vessel through which we display our passion for the Motherland. These are the values that we practice every week and teach our new and younger dancers as well. It has by far been one of the best experiences any of us have had within our parish and we hope to continue dancing for years to come and expand our program so more youth can feel the wonderful impact of the All Saints Dancers.
We will not only dance, but will have many social events and outings!
