The Philoptochos

The Philoptochos is an organization dedicated to philanthropic endeavors here in Toronto and around the world. The word “Philoptochos” means “friend of the poor”. Comprised entirely of women, the Philoptochos is an integral part of the church community, being the second largest women’s organization in the world. Philoptochos is volunteer-driven and initiates or supports many church activities and charitable projects. . If you know that we exist, but have only a vague idea of what we do, then we can’t grow as an organization. It is important for Philoptochos to be front and centre in the minds of our parishioners, and for you to know how important we are to the life of our church.
